A Time To Kill (1996 ) #23 of 50

Thrill makers: It’s getting hot in here

Show Notes

Free Palestine One of the greatest casts of all time and an unflinching look at racism and the failures of the judicial system in the US and particularly in Mississippi. Joel Schumacher directs the adaptation of a John Grisham novel that tells the story of a white lawyer representing a black man and all of the machinations that go on around them. It looks directly at the inherent racism of both the rural population and the American justice system as well as the white savior complex and the occasional usefulness thereof.
