Onward (2020)

Cel-Mates: Who needs magic?
Show Notes
This week we discuss the first release impacted by COVID - Pixar’s Onward came out March 6, 2020 - possibly the worst release window in modern history. A fairy - or rather elf - tale of two brothers on a quest to materialize their dead dad. Unicorns have devolved to trash horses, centaurs drive instead of running and mantacores have succumbed to the whims of capitalism. An allegory for the industrial revolution and the inherent desire for something easier, this movie is also a touching portrayal of fraternal love and the bonds we often overlook.
