Raya and the Last Dragon (2021)

Show Notes

Disney does Southeast Asia this week in Raya and the Last Dragon. A post-apocalyptic heist film with dragons, babies and food? Sign us up! Raya is the Disney princess we deserve - badass and on guard with a capacity to change. We get to see Disney do respectful and interesting things surrounding various Asian cultures including their mythologies, food and fighting techniques. Beautiful to look at, interesting and exciting story, a con artist baby, there’s nothing bad here!

Recommendations: Wildwood (In Theaters)

Next up: Luca (2021)
